What is Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy and Why you need it
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy is a conservative therapeutic approach to treating the Pelvic Floor Muscle. This muscle functions to support the pelvic organs, assist in bowel/bladder control, and contributes to sexual function.
Nearly 25% of Women in the US suffer from Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, yet women continue to be underserved. Many times, this is due to beliefs that this is a normal part of aging or part of having children. There is also a reported feeling of embarrassment to address these issues.
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy treatment has been proven to be a highly effective alternative to management of symptoms associated with bowel, bladder, pain and sexual dysfunction.
Through the use of advanced manual techniques, Microcurrent Point Stimulation, lymphatic restoration, therapeutic exercises, bladder and bowel retraining, and central nervous system desensitization, the patient can expect to have significant gains in their overall quality of life.

What to expect on your first visit and follow up treatments
You will undergo a complex Evaluation by a certified Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist. The evaluation will include assessment of your posture, range of motion, flexibility, strength, nerves, scar mobility, and behavioral influences related to symptoms. Your certified Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist will use this information to develop an individualized treatment plan to accomplish your goals. You will also learn self care techniques and a home exercise program to manage your symptoms.
You will always be seen by the same Pelvic Floor Specialist for each visit. This allows for consistency in your care and progression of healing. Your sessions will take place in a quiet, private, and spacious treatment room with no interruptions.
Every session is a full 60 min of hands on care, tailored to your unique needs and focused entirely on your healing journey. We believe your recovery deserves time, attention, and expert support. Your recovery will never be cut short.
